Tokyo is known for just about anything Japanese and for fans of cosplay, you can find some of the world’s most unique cosplay shops around Tokyo. However, they are not easily found as they cater to only the niche fans of anime, manga, and cosplay.

This list below will share with you some of the best places to find cosplay products around Tokyo. One of the easiest places to start at is Akihabara, which is the well-known manga city besides being one of the largest electronic city in the world.

In Japan, COSPA is a manufacturer that creates and produces merchandises related to characters in anime, manga, and games. In Akihabara, Cospatio specializes in selling cosplay costumes and other miscellaneous cosplay items. This is also one of the largest cosplay costume stores in Akihabara, and possibly in Tokyo.

This is a chain of cosplay stores around Tokyo. The ACOS brand is a specialized store for famous anime related good shop Animate, located on the fifth floor of Akiba Cultures Zone. This store provides a wide variety of cosplay costumes, accessories, wigs, make-up, with a wide range of colors and tones. This is your one-stop cosplay shop in Tokyo.

Here, you can get new and second-hand cosplay costumes and accessories. Lashinbang is also located on the second floor of the same building as ACOS. The cosplay section is at the back left side of the store. The uniqueness of this store is that you can find men’s cosplay sizes, which is quite hard to come by.

Mitsubado Cosplay Shop is located on the second and third floor of a building at one of Akihabara’s back streets. For those on a budget, you can find quality second-hand anime and game cosplay costumes. The store also has second-hand cosplay shoes, swords, and some crafted props. It is an Interesting cosplay shop but you will find more women sizes here.

When you reach here, you need to go around the back and find the entrance as the small cosplay shop is located on the second floor. You can find new and second-hand cosplay costumes, wigs and items here and the great news is that the shop manager is also a cosplayer!

This unique store focuses on reproduction weapons, armor and historical clothing for cosplay. You can find antique chain mail, samurai armor, European medieval clothing, Edo period helmets, early Meiji period uniforms, and a vast array of swords and weapons. This store also offers rentals but you need to double-check with them on this.

Jupiter in Akihabara

Here at Jupiter, they have cosplay costumes from a wide variety of genres. You can find most general cosplay, doll dress style costumes, race queen, Goth, Lolita, military and school uniforms here. There is even a section for male school uniforms and other interesting or quirky costumes. Prices are reasonable but you can find some cosplay costumes which are rare and priced over 100,000 yen.
