One of the must-try desserts in Japan is definitely crepes. Crepe is a thinner version of pancakes and can be eaten on a plate or folded into a cone. The oldest crepe shop in Japan is this famous Marion Crepes. The shop was opened in 1976 and they’re still operating till this day. You can go to Marion Crepes located in several prefectures like Hyogo, Hokkaido and more. Recently, they just opened a new store in Mont Kiara, Malaysia. Located right in front of Marion Crepe, this crepe store is one of the oldest crepe shops in Japan. They started their business one year after Marion Crepe. Both stores are usually packed with crowds and the queues are super long most of the time. Nonetheless, the wait is definitely worth it.

Feast your mouth with more than 60 different flavours of crepes. The number one popular crepe is the banana chocolate whipped cream. In addition, you also have to try their Crème Brulee with chocolate and strawberry crepe. It tastes very sweet and tangy. Angel’s Heart also has seasonal crepes like Hot Caramel Sweet Potato and healthy crepes such as Italian salad and Avocado Shrimp Salad. 3. Santa Monica Crepes

Another famous crepe in Takeshita Street is this Californian theme store called Santa Monica Crepes.  The use of bright neon colors to attract visitors has made this store very recognizable. This store’s specialty is their soft yet crispy crepe. They use only the best quality of flour and stuffing to provide the best crepes in town.

Santa Monica’s best-selling crepe is the Strawberry Banana and Chocolate Ice Cream crepe. Other than that, you should also try their version of Crème Brule crepe. It is slightly different from Angel’s Heart because their Crepe Brule is coated with caramel sugar. The store boasts over 100 kinds of crepe flavours and cheaper as compared to others.

Located in Suginami, Tokyo, this small crepe store is as sweet as its name. The Honey Bee’s crepes are infused with honey and the amount of sweetness is perfect. The crepe store is furnished with a very modern yet rustic wooden style. Furthermore, many claimed that Honey Bee Crepe is one of the best crepe stores in Japan as compared to other popular stores.

What to order? Their latest crepe addition is Salt Red Bean Cream with Chocolate Sauce. This crepe was added to the store early November, so, you need to try this if you plan to come here. Other than that, Honey Bee’s Pistachio Ice Cream topped with mixed nuts wrapped in a cheese crepe is also one of their main highlights. Situated in Setagaya, Tokyo, this crepe café is known for their soft crepes stuffed with whipped creams and fancy fruits. Furthermore, their specialty is not only crepes but also galette. Galette is a French term for a flat round shaped thick pancake. It is filled with the sweet or savoury taste of vegetables or fruits. Orange County’s galette is one of their famous dishes apart from crepes.
